Conference Focus on Jobs and Market Share

It was a busy three days for BAC and building trades leaders from across Canada at the recent Canadian Policy Conference, sponsored by the Canadian Office of the BCTD, where they explored strategies and policy options designed to, in the words of this year’s theme, “Take it Back”—Winning In Today’s Economy. Participants heard from government leaders and industry experts on a range of issues impacting recapturing union construction market share, such as tying training goals to infrastructure projects, the Capital Cost Allowance and keeping construction competitive, and preserving and strengthening the Red Seal Program.
