In contrast to the U.S., the recession in Canada has been less severe, resulting in a more promising construction outlook, especially in certain areas of the country, as shown in the video below.

In the event BAC contractors working in Canada cannot fill jobs with Canadian members, the International Union is eager to assist interested, eligible U.S. members in securing that work.
As a beginning but necessary step in this process, the IU is creating a database of U.S. members willing to work in Canada that would serve as a resource for our Canadian Locals and employers should such conditions occur.
