Potential Work Opportunities in Canada for U.S. Members

In contrast to the U.S., the recession in Canada has been less severe, resulting in a more promising construction outlook, especially in certain areas of the country, as shown in the video below.

Realizing Opportunity: Jobs in Canada for Americans

In the event BAC contractors working in Canada cannot fill jobs with Canadian members, the International Union is eager to assist interested, eligible U.S. members in securing that work.

As a beginning but necessary step in this process, the IU is creating a database of U.S. members willing to work in Canada that would serve as a resource for our Canadian Locals and employers should such conditions occur.

If you would like to be considered for possible work opportunities in Canada, bearing in mind that careful consideration will be given to U.S. members residing closest to Canadian jobsites, you will be asked to sign in to a members-only section below so that you may:

2. Submit an online form registering your interest.
