A Message to All BAC Local Unions and Members:
During the last few days, we have all seen television reports or read in the news about the devastating affect of Hurricane Katrina on parts of Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Thousands of families, including many BAC families, have lost everything, and each day the death toll and the ranks of the homeless rises.
Our members and their families in this area are in desperate need of our help. Toward that end, the IU has set up a “Disaster Relief Fund” to provide them with financial assistance, and we are asking all of our Locals and members to consider making a contribution. We also welcome contributions from others, such as contractors, interested in helping with this relief effort.
Contributions should be sent to:
BAC Disaster Relief Fund
Attention: Executive Vice President, Gerard Scarano
620 F Street, N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20004
Please make the checks payable to the: BAC Disaster Relief Fund.
Our Union has a long tradition of helping each other during difficult times. This is one of those times when we all need to do our part to help our Brothers and Sisters in need.
If you have any questions, please contact Jerry O’Malley at 202/383-3159.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Fraternally,
John J. Flynn
