IU Special Deputy Albert Vincent, right, recently presented
Local 2 NS member Bill Leon with a plaque on behalf of the
Local’s membership. Brother Leon, an active Union member
for more than 60 years, diligently served on many of the
Local’s committees, and lives up to his personal creed
of always conducting himself with “class.”

Local 1 Ohio Presents Gold Card
The officers of BAC Southern Ohio District Council’s
Local 1 OH recently honored the Local’s new Gold Card
members at a party held on their behalf. Front row, from

Local 1 Oregon Apprentices Build for Community
Local 1 OR apprentices, under the direction of Local 1 Business
Manager John Mohlis, the Local’s Apprentice Coordinator
Joe Luna, and Instructor Dan Bonife, recently honed their
skills and civic pride by building new dugouts and a conscession
stand for Oregon City’s Redland Baseball Association. “The
apprentices enjoyed donating their talent and energy because
unlike their work in the classroom that they tear down, this
project is built to last. These projects are good for them,
and good for the community,” says Mohlis. A total of
23 local apprentices participated.
