Inspired by our crafts and created by two accomplished artists, the International Union is pleased to offer commemorative mugs to delegates of the 2005 Convention. Each of the eight 16-ounce ceramic mugs showcases our members’ skills while depicting our crafts including – brick, tile, cement, marble, plaster, PCC, stone and terrazzo.
The artists – Kathleen Farrell and Roberta Faulhaber – first collaborated in 1976 on a community public art mural in graduate student housing at University City in Paris, France. Farrell received a Master of Fine Arts equivalent degree in Printmaking from L’Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris and a Master of Arts degree in Community Public Art from Governors State University in Illinois. Faulhaber received a Master of Fine Arts equivalent degree in Painting from L’Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts, also in Paris. Both remain active in the artistic community through both solo and group exhibitions and within artistic organizations.
A complete set of mugs will be shipped to each delegate following the Convention to the address on file with registration. Please visit the Tool Sales exhibit area to view a sample set.
