Vautour Elected Canadian Congress Co-Chair

The ballots for the office of Canadian Co-Chair were counted on February 20 at the Union’s winter meetings. Fred Vautour received the majority of the votes and was declared the winner. President Flynn administered the Officer’s Pledge to Vautour, who will serve for five-years, and take his seat as a member of the BAC Executive Council when it next meets in early July. Vautour is Business Manager of Local 1 New Brunswick and Secretary-Treasurer of the Atlantic Provincial Conference. Now in his sixth term as Local 1 Business Manager, Vautour was first elected in 1986. He serves on the IMI Board of Trustees, and Co-Chairs IMI’s Atlantic Provinces Board. He is Secretary-Treasurer of the New Brunswick Building Trade.
