Vautour Elected Canadian Congress Co-Chair
The ballots for the office of Canadian Co-Chair were counted
on February 20 at the Union’s winter meetings. Fred
Vautour received the majority of the votes and was declared
the winner. President Flynn administered the Officer’s
Pledge to Vautour, who will serve for five-years, and take
his seat as a member of the BAC Executive Council when it
next meets in early July. Vautour is Business Manager of
Local 1 New Brunswick and Secretary-Treasurer of the Atlantic
Provincial Conference. Now in his sixth term as Local 1 Business
Manager, Vautour was first elected in 1986. He serves on
the IMI Board of Trustees, and Co-Chairs IMI’s Atlantic
Provinces Board. He is Secretary-Treasurer of the New Brunswick
Building Trade.
