Julian Distler Retires

Julian Distler, Business Manager of former Local 11 MO in Jefferson City, retired from his duties as Field Representative of Local 15 MO/KS in October 2000. Distler was presented with a plaque for his years of service by BAC President John J. Flynn (left) at a retirement party held in Distler’s honor in November. |

Local 34 Wisconsin Serves Baraboo

| Local 34 WI members volunteered their time and skills to expand facilities at Baraboo’s Roundtree Park last summer. Home to the Baraboo Bandits American Legion Baseball Team, the park now boasts new restrooms and an inclement weather shelter. |

Local 3 Nevada Retiree Honors Co-workers in Stone

Entitled “Man Sculpting Himself,” this solid granite sculpture was created by Bill Richardson Sr., a 30-year member of Local 3 NV in Las Vegas. Richardson, right, carved the work to honor his co-workers at Dayton Masonry. He served 10 years as an instructor at Local 3, and took up sculpting when he retired. Son Bill Richardson Jr., right, is a superintendent with Dayton Masonry. |
