Frank Stupar Honored by ENR

As reported earlier in the Journal, retired BAC Executive Vice President Frank Stupar was named recently by Engineering News-Record (ENR) as one of construction’s 25 most influential individuals in 2000. Stupar was selected in recognition of his tireless efforts to protect BAC members and all construction workers from exposure to hazardous materials on the job site, particularly those that cause asbestosis and silicosis. ENR hosted its formal awards dinner in New York City on April 1. Shown here with ENR Editor, Jay McGraw, left, is IPF-IHF Executive Director David Stupar, who accepted the award on behalf of his father, Frank, who was not able to attend.
