Brewers Pay Tribute to Local 8 Wisconsin Members

Local 8 WI member Dave Needom sings the U.S. National Anthem.

On March 31, construction workers who spent four years building the Miller Park sports stadium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin were honored at a pre-season game with festivities that included Local 8 Wisconsin member Dave Needom singing the U.S. National Anthem.

About 150 members of BAC Local 8 Wisconsin along with 1,500 fellow building trades members attended the game and pre-game tailgate party in celebration of the completion of the new home of the Milwaukee Brewers. The stadium includes a monument honoring four ironworkers who lost their lives during course of the construction, three in a crane collapse and one from a heart attack on the job site. The monument will be dedicated in August.
