Traveling for Work?
More Answers to Your Questions on BAC’s International Reciprocal Agreements

Question: Will all funds be covered under these Agreements? How will we know which ones are signed?

Do you have a question about how the new International Reciprocal Agreements work?

If you do, attend a Local or Chapter meeting where the new Issue-Bulletin on the Reciprocal Agreements is being discussed, and/or log onto www.ipfihf.org. Send your questions to:

Mail: BAC Reciprocal Clearinghouse
Attention: David Stupar

Washington, D.C. 20005
Call: (888) 880 8222 (ask for David Stupar)
E-mail: askbac@bacweb.org

Answer: In order to be covered by the International Reciprocal Agreements a fund must sign the agreements. If a fund does not sign, then the fund and its participants are not covered. To find out which funds are signed to the Agreements, log on to the Reciprocal Clearinghouse web page at www.ipfihf.org or call 1-888-880-8222. In addition, periodically the Journal will include an updated list of signatory funds.

Question: How often will money be transferred—monthly or at the end of the year?

Answer: Contributions will be transferred monthly, with transfers due as soon as practical following the end of the month for which contributions are received by the travel fund. Transfers will be made with an approved form, indicating the employee’s name, Social Security number, hours worked, and amount of money transferred.
