BAC Local 4 Indiana/Kentucky member Clyde B. Kidd, Jr. was
a tank commander in the first Marine Division’s “Dog” Company,
and saw action in the Won-Hungnan-Chosin Campaign.
In recognition
of his heroism, Kidd was awarded the USMC commendation
Ribbon with Combat “V”, a letter
of commendation with a Battle Star, and a Presidential Unit
Citation. He also received the Good Conduct Medal, United
Nations Service Medal, and Navy Occupation with Korean Clasp.
He was honorably discharged in 1952.
A retired member of Local
4 with more than 41 years of BAC service, Kidd congratulates
the Board of Trustees of the International Pension Fund
for providing a level of benefits that give retirees security
and dignity in their later years.
The Korean War Service
Medal is awarded to all Korean War Veterans in commemoration
of the 50th anniversary of the Korean War. All Korean Veterans
can apply through their Local or regional Veterans Affairs
Office. There is no charge.
