American Architectural Review Series—Showcases BAC

BAC was recently recognized by the American Architectural Review Series for its commitment to training and promoting progress in the fields of architecture and construction. Filmed in St. Louis, Missouri, the feature showcases members of Local 1 Missouri on the job and signatory contractor John J. Smith, Jr., President of John J. Smith Masonry Company, and is introduced by Morely Safer. “We were pleased to have this opportunity to introduce the world to our highly skilled members, the durability and beauty of our work, and our Union,” says President John J. Flynn. “Through this series we will be able to connect with a broad range of individuals interested in building and architecture, and dispel misperceptions the general public may have about unions and the construction trades.”

The “news break” featuring BAC is being aired on public television stations around the country starting this summer (exact airdates and times will vary by local television station), as well as via the internet by logging on to www.bacweb.org and clicking on the “American Architectural Review” banner.
