Local 1 New York Members Stay Active and Involved

From fund raising to education, Local 1 New York members have had a busy summer serving their community and the Union.

First Place scholarship winner Samantha Kaylor, granddaughter of Local 1 member John Kaylor (not pictured) receives a check for $10,000 from Local 1 NY President Sid Lanzafame and Secretary-Treasurer Jerry Sullivan. The scholarship check was presented at the second annual BAC Local 1 NY Golf Outing. The Outing, held in June, raised $50,000 for Muscular Dystrophy. Local 1 New York had a strong showing at this year’s Retiree Conference held in June. “It was great to see so many of our retirees still interested in being involved in the Union,” said Local 1 President Sid Lanzafame. “They serve as an excellent example for our younger members.” BAC President John J. Flynn addressed the Conference.
