Ellis Island Medal of Honor Presented to John Flynn

On May 16, 2003, BAC President John J. Flynn was awarded The Ellis Island Medal of Honor by the National Ethnic Coalition Organization, Inc. (NECO) in New York City.

NECO, with over 5 million family members, serves as an umbrella group for more than 250 organizations of diverse ethnic heritages, cultures, and religions. The Ellis Island Medal of Honor is presented annually in recognition of an individual’s outstanding contributions to his or her own ethnic group and to American society.

President Flynn joins a distinguished group of previous honorees, including U.S. Presidents, Nobel Prize winners, business leaders, and leading artists, performers, and athletes.
