Connecting with BAC
When members travel to another Local’s jurisdiction to work, they earn credits (contributions) toward their home Locals’ health and welfare and pension funds. Keeping track of whether a home fund received these contributions used to be a headache for members. But that’s not the case anymore thanks to BAC’s Electronic Reciprocal Transfer System (ERTS).
This new system is available to all funds, and allows members to logon to ERTS 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year through a secure, password protected website. To take advantage of this online service, a Local’s funds must execute the service provider contract with Allen Bates Technologies and upload a file of travelers into ERTS. To find out which Local funds have signed up for ERTS, go to www.ipfihf.org and click on “Electronic Reciprocity.” For more information about ERTS, contact David F. Stupar at 202-383-3935 or dstupar@ipfihf.org.
ERTS = Security
Members can have confidence that the convenience of ERTS won’t compromise the security of their personal information. |

All actions take place at the highest levels of computer encryption. Privacy is assured. |

No personal data is transferred over the open Internet. |
| › |
ERTS is used only for reciprocity transactions, not for personal account information. |

Funds and Local Unions can only access information about their own participants and members working in their jurisdictions. |
