BAC Delegation Meets with President Clinton

A BAC delegation to the annual League of United Latin American Citizens’ (LULAC) Convention explored new strategies and exchanged ideas on organizing Latino craftworkers and creating stronger ties with Latino community groups. In private meetings with former President Bill Clinton, who spoke at the Convention, and LULAC National President Hector Flores, these topics were also addressed.

With 115,000 members, LULAC is the largest and oldest Hispanic organization in the U.S. Its principal objectives are to advance social and economic justice, expand educational opportunities, and increase the political influence of Hispanic Americans. Their national network of local chapters has great potential for forging a strong organizing partnership with BAC.
