Canadian Scholarship Recipient

Lindsay Hall, daughter of 26-year Local 1 Nova Scotia member Philip Hall, was one of two recipients of the 2005 Canadian Harry C. Bates Scholarship Award. Lindsay graduated from high school with honours and received a $2500 renewable university entrance scholarship. She was also awarded $1000 from community organizations for her academic achievements and community involvement.

Lindsay is currently enrolled at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She plans to receive a teaching degree and hopes to pursue a career in education.
