Some crossed a few city blocks, others crossed the country, but no matter how they got there or where they came from, for a few brief hours on July 18th, 620 F Street, N.W. was the place to be in Washington, D.C. for the grand opening of the International Union’s new headquarters. The event, hosted by the Executive Board, drew a cross-section of guests, from the BAC members who helped construct the new headquarters to members of Congress, from labor leaders and union professionals to federal officials – even the Governor of Montana – for the celebration.

And there was plenty to celebrate, according to BAC President John J. Flynn. “Our new headquarters provides the necessary office space to carry out the services our members depend on us for, a place where Local leaders can come together to exchange information, and a sound investment for our Union,” he said. “The decision to stay in Washington, D.C. keeps BAC at the decision-making epicenter of North America.”
