Best Brick & Stone Project
Local 21 Illinois
Providence of Palatine
Palatine, IL

Signatory Contractor: Midwest Masonry, Inc.

Architect/Designer: Tinaglia Architects, Inc.

Located in downtown Palatine, the Providence of Palatine is a chic, new housing and retail complex. Thirty-two members of Local 21, employed by Midwest Masonry, Inc., completed $5 million of masonry work on the project, including installing 225,000 modular brick, 60,000 utility brick, 155,000 block, 15,000 pieces of renaissance stone and 10,000 cubic feet of precast concrete. More than 25,000 work-hours were accumulated on the project.

Each storefront’s distinct character gives the impression that they were built independently. Luxury condominiums sit above the ground-level retail shops and an impressive precast archway creates a striking entrance to the nine-story building.
