BAC/IMI National Training Center – Building the Future
November - December 2005

BAC’s and IMI’s vision for a permanent National Training Center is on its way to becoming a reality on a 15-acre site in Maryland – a vision that served as the backdrop for one of two new Convention exhibits.

The state-of-the-art-complex, scheduled for completion in winter 2006, will feature a two-story training center with offices, classrooms, and design studios. A second main building will house offices, recreation facilities, a cafeteria, and meeting and dormitory rooms to accommodate more than 100 students. “It will literally be a college for masonry craftworkers,” says BAC President John J. Flynn.

Both buildings will be constructed with the highest quality masonry materials, including brick, stone, tile, marble, terrazzo, plaster, and concrete masonry units.
